The Easiest Brown Sugar Cookies


If you know me, you know baking is my absolute favorite way to unwind and relax. These Brown Sugar Cookies are so simple and easy, that even a beginner could because master baker in his/her own home.


Heres what you’ll need:

  • 2 1/4 cups of flour
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup white sugar for rolling

Heres how to do it:

  1. Cream the butter and brown sugar together until smooth
  2. Make sure to scrape down the sides and then add the egg and vanilla extract and keep mixing
  3. Next, add flour, baking powder, and salt to the bowl slowly
  4. Refrigerate dough for 20-30 minutes to let butter harder back up (makes a more buttery cookie in the end)
  5. Pre-Heat the over to 350 degrees
  6. Using an ice cream scoop, scoop the dough into 1 1/2 inch balls and roll into white sugar
  7. Once all rolled, place on a baking sheet and press dough with fork to create a criss-cross pattern
  8. Bake for 10-15 minutes, the longer they’re in, the crispier the cookie will be
  9. Finally, remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes and then… DIG IN!!
